Summer Grad Fair

Now that you've left the hallowed halls of university, you're going to have to face the “real” world... The world of the unemployed! Not to fear; “The Greatest Jobs Show on Earth” is here! From June 2 to 3, the Summer Graduate Fair will be held in Earls Court, London.

Here you can meet potential employers, get to know various companies, and learn the tools of the trade (the trade being job hunting). These career workshops which will tackle topics like writing application forms, selling yourself at an interview, and dressing to impress. There are also “insight talks” which will give you a peek into the daily events of various industries. These talks include “A Day In The Life Of An IT Consultant”, “An Insight into Working in one of the /Sunday Times/' Top 100 Companies”, and “Demystifying the BBC recruitment process”. Most are about 30 minutes long.

If you plan on taking a gap year, there are also exhibitors – such as volunteer organisations and trip planners – that will cater for your needs. Representatives of universities offering post-graduate studies will also be present to answer your questions about getting scholarly yet again.

Among the companies that will be present are Accenture Technology Solutions, IBM, and the Royal Navy & Royal Marines.
