Organic Farming Training![]() Are you tired of the race? Of being stuck in a partitioned cubicle with only a curling photograph of the beach you got to spend 7 days on last July as company? An organization called WWOOF may be the answer for you. The acronym stands for Willing Workers on Organic Farms and is an international organization that connects organic farmers and volunteer workers in an exchange that enables volunteers to learn about organic farming and farmers to get much needed labour in order to maintain their organic standards. Country by country guides are available at wwoof.org and opportunities are as wide ranging as throwing pottery in Tuscany, Cherry Blossom harvesting in Japan to enrolling in an Organic College in the Pyreneese. The opportunities and destinations are endless. With the chance to work outdoors, eat the finest of produce, discover a part of the world off the tourist trail and learn something into the bargain, WWOOF is the chance to renew yourself while the rest of the working world figures out what it’s doing. |
