Marketing for Non-Graduates

While we have somehow lost track of the fact that people have been selling us goods and services for millennia without a piece of parchment tacked onto their wall stating, in Latin, that they are qualified and over-educated to do so, the notion of entering the field of marketing without a degree has become anathema to us.

Thankfully there are many companies who still recognise the fact that to sell, one needs social qualifications and not only academic qualifications. In fact, the former has proven not only illusive for the text-book student, but invaluable in marketing.

You will find that a start in marketing will normally put you in an entry position as a market research assistant, print buyer, general management trainee, or you can enter a program as a graduate trainee.

A few companies that offer marketing graduate trainee programs include: Mars, Nestle, Proctor & Gamble.
