Leeds is the heart of West Yorkshire and an under-appreciated city in all sorts of ways. It is a vibrant, dynamic place that offers culture, night-life, museums and sport. This is a city with a large student population so is always offering new ways to entertain. And it’s home to the world’s oldest West Indian Carnival!

Although small, with a population of just 800,000, Leeds is a city with a huge urban city centre. Leeds city centre boasts a population of around 450,000! That’s nearly half of the total city population.

Leeds is the UK's largest centre for business, legal, and financial services outside of London, making it the perfect place to start a job hunt. Leeds is also the principle shopping area in a region of approximately 3.2 million, making the retail trade here one of the sturdiest around. All of its prime sectors are getting back on their feet and starting to hire again!

So what jobs are currently on offer in Leeds city centre? A quick look around revealed high demand for teaching positions, particularly in a behavioural support capacity, with salaries of around £30,000; customer service positions, with salaries of around £20,000; IT Jobs such as web developing and technical analysts, with salaries of around £30,000; and plenty of business jobs in areas like analysis and management, with salaries between £30,000 and £60,000!
